I guess it's about time I add a new post to this blog 'been lagging behind these days. I wish I could just freeze time and keep Cole at this age a little longer. He is just doing and saying some of the cutest things! Yesterday I caught him trying to dump some of his milk from his sippy cup into his food. Right as I said "hey", Cole quickly redirected the sippy cup and drank from him...pretending this was his intention from the beginning and as soon as I wasn't looking we went back to pouring milk into his bowl! Too cute that little rascal!
Our future chef is already making food requests. He has learned many names and/or signs for the foods he eats. He tends to have his favorites. Right now it's raisins and peanut butter. The other day he woke up requesting "PeehBah" (Peanut Butter)! A few days ago, I had a can of pears sitting on the counter which I wanted to use for something else. Cole ate all of his apple sauce and started requested "PEAR"s. I gave him his rice and beef to eat firts, then I gave him a yogurt, then I gave him a whole piece of bread with peanut butter on it...and after eating all of that...I finally gave in and openned the can of pears. He ate two bites of the pears and was done:-)
He is loving school. I drop him off in the morning and he kisses me and waves bye-bye. He tends to gravitate towards the books and the riding cars. One day I found him playing with a doll when I picked him up and he wouldn't leave without the doll!! Apparently, he and another kid are eager to eat lunch and are the first to make it known that lunch is coming, as soon as they see the helper bring the lunch bags to the room:-)
He's discovered a love for crayons and markers! He loves coloring and he does a good job staying on the paper. I've added a pad of paper and some crayons to his play area downstairs. It's usually one of the first thing he does when he comes home.
