So, I was thinking the other day about the show "are you smarter than a 5th grader", and decided I should write a post about "are you smart enough to answer a 3 year old" (not quite as catchy:-), but none the less, it requires great skill. The trick is to answer the question without raising the need for the child to ask additional (and more complex) questions. The questions below were pulled from I recent conversation I had with Cole on the way home from work. Oh, yes, did I mention? You need to answer all of these questions in under 20min.
So, if you are up for the challenge, try to answer these questions at a 3-year old level:
"Why do daddys not have babies in their bellies?"
"Why do babies grow in bellies?" (the emphasis here is on 'why do we grow'?)
"Why will I always be bigger (synonymous with older) than my brother or sister?"
"Why do some babies live in bellies and some babies live in houses?"
"What does 'born' mean?" (Can you tell that this came up as a result of my answer from the question above?)
