Cole standing in front of our live tree
So we purchased two Christmas trees this year. One live (cut-down) tree that we had in our living room, and one live (with roots) that we planted in the back yard. Last week, we put the tree from the living room outside on the burn pile. Cole was watching this and asked if the smaller tree was also going to get burned. "No, Cole, that tree is a real live tree. It's planted in the ground." After much explaining regarding the difference between the two "live" trees, Cole finally said: "Oh, we have two trees! One live one and one dead one--
killed by my mommy and daddy!" Ouch.
