Recently, Cole's been pointing to his ears every time he hears a noise and then he either imitates the noise or will name it (if he knows what it is). It almost looks like he is playing sharades. So last night he was sitting on my lap watching TV, when all of the sudden he sat up straight, pointed to his ear and said "mower" (well...something that slightly resembled 'mower'). It took me a minute to figure out what he was saying, since I'm not as in tune as he is with every little sound he hears, but eventually I realized that dad was out mowing and that is what he was hearing. "Cole, would you like to go outside and watch dada mow?", "Okay!"
As soon as we got outside, Cole grabbed his mower and tried to meet up with Nick. In the picture above, he is waving at dad to get his attention. In the picture below, he is following dad around the yard. That by the way, is the closest we would get to the mower when it was running:-)
After the lawn was mowed, Cole and I moved on to playing with bubbles. Cole actually blew bubbles for the first time. He finally figured out that he needs to have it up close to his mouth...of course, he started taking it too far and ended up practically eating the bubbles.
