Well, for several months now I've been wondering when Cole will tell me that he needs to go potty. Not too long ago, he finaly started telling me if he was wet (not consistantly, but from time to time). I thought that was a huge improvement! Well, on Monday, I had just gotten home with Cole and I was making a quick phone call. Cole was still in his coat and he was running around terrorizing Isa--by that I mean, he was running behind her trying to pull her tail. I was having a hard time talking on the phone with all the comotion going on and I was gettting frustrated. Then I heard Cole yelling from the bathroom--Grrr...what next? (that's what I was thinking at the time). As I got closer to him, I realized Cole was yelling "I GO potty", "mama, I GO potty now!" WHAT?!? So, I quickly put him on the potty and sure enough he was right!
I call this our "Helen Keller" momment. It seems that learning new skills comes in spurts! And, when he gets it, he gets it! (although, I'm still waiting for him to tell me on a regualr basis:-)
