On our walk today, Cole: "Mom I'm picking up flowers. I'm giving you flowers b/c you're a girl. Mom, boys give girls flowers. Flowers make girls happy." Too cute. He cracks me up. My favorite is when he finds a dandelion. "Oh, it's so beautiful! Look a sunflower, mom!:-)
This morning: (leslie)"Cole I think your woke up on the wrong side of the bed." (Cole) "NO, mom, you are WRONG! I woke up on the RIGHT side of the bed!" (hmm...yah right).
At lunch time: (nick)"Cole, did you have a good day?" (cole)"Yah,..well I thought I woke up on the right side of the bed, but mom says I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. That made me frustrated."
Today Cole decided he was going to be a whale. later in the day, he refused to put on his sweatshirt. "Look Mommy, I'm a whale. I have warm blood. I do not need a sweatshirt." After using all of my mommy authority and getting no where, I finally said: "look, Cole, the thing about whales and warm blooded mammals is that they need to keep their blood warm." Once he understood, he put his sweatshirt on no problem. Later in the day, I heard him say: "Mommy, I need my sweatshirt. I need to keep my blood warm while I'm outside." :-)
