Teeth are coming! I guess I suspected that he was teething for a while. He's been drooling, eating his hands, chomping on anything he can get in his mouth, pulling on his ear, his cheeks are red and he's been running a temp from time to time. (I've recently learned that pulling on his ear is a sign of teething (kind of confusing when he's also had an ear infection); and red cheeks is also a sign). In the last week or so I've finally been able to feel a little corner of a tooth on his upper jaw. Recently, I thought there may be two teeth on the upper jaw. But, today, I finally saw it. Yes--not two--but three teeth. They haven't broken the surface but I can see white around the surface of the jaw. I think it's funny that non of the standard front teeth are coming in yet. I've been telling him he is going to look like a hippo:-)
I'm not sure how I feel about teeth coming in this early. He hasn't even started eating solids, although that will come soon. It may still be a long time before those teeth surface, so I guess no need for tooth paste and dentist appointments just yet:-) Grr...not ready for those that's for sure!

Here's a picture of the teeth I think are coming in. I'll let you know if my predictions are right. For those of you who have cool graphics programs, feels sorry for me, I colored the teeth in blue using Paint! Ah...doesn't that bring back old memories Eagin sisters.

wow leslie - it sounds like cole is determined to do everything early! good luck! the whole teething thing is AWFUL! Emelia got her two bottom teeth at 5 months and is now working on the top two - which is causing a LOT more pain and unhappiness! She also gets very red and hot cheeks! hope you're all feeling better and over your colds - it's tough when the little ones are sick! the pics of cole in his bumbo seat are great!!!
Ya, well hopefully, his teeth hold out for a few more months. He seems to be dealing with it a little better now. Not sure if he is getting use to it, or if the pain is less intense. Do you have a blog for Emelia?
