We've had some great weather this week, so we've been outside for the first time in a looooong time! One day this week, I took Cole and Isa for a walk down to the park. Then, I let Cole play on some of the equipment while I kept a tight reign on Isa. It was a little tough managing the two of them, but this time Cole could actually climb up and go down the slide by himself which made things a whole lot easier. The next day, we played outside for a while. It was fun to see Cole walk in our backyard for the first time. We have a sloped yard, so it was fun to see him try to keep his balance while he was walking/running down the slope. I brought is ride-on cars out to the patio; and, since he had been begging for a bath (this is his new request every night, BATH, BATH), I decided I'd try the water table outside and see if that did the trick:-) Just this weekend, I'd picked up a nice bib/smock for him to use--I think it worked quite nicely!

So neat seeing Cole playing outside and enjoying the warmer weather. Seems like it was just yesterday that we were visiting and there was snow on the ground. Charles and Ryan are also enjoying the warmer weather and especially the longer daylight hours. Before the time change we would get home and only have about 30mins of daylight, now we have at least an hour and a half and that is plenty of time for them to enjoy the playground while I fix dinner. Gives me a break too! I don't have to hear mommy I'm hungry or have to tell them to stop running/playing in the kitchen.
That water table looks like fun. What a neat idea. And what fun watching Cole do things this year that he couldn't last year. I hung my wash outside today! :-)
