Having fun with Daddy!

Hmm...I realize that I completely skipped the father's day entry. Things got really busy around here for Father's Day and I was sick the day before so Cole didn't get a change to make special things for his Dad:-) Cole did do some shopping for him for father's day and he did take him out to eat for lunch. But that was not nearly as fun as the things we had planned:-(
Cole and I went to Target to pick up some items for out trip this weekend and a gift for Nick. I kept holding things up to Cole and asking him if he wanted them...well Cole would break out into a big grin and eagerly reach for the item...needless to say a few extra items ended up in our cart. Hehe...Cole's a fun shopping partner! I think Nick said he would have a talk with his son before he sent the two of us out shopping again!LOL.
Yesterday, Cole and Nick had a fun "boy's only" day. Nick took Cole to the doctor in the morning for an ear infection and decided to take the whole day off. Cole took a very long nap in the morning, so Nick did a lot of the house chores for me (what a treat!). The rest of the time, they had a fun time playing together. They called and told me to meet them at the pool after work. They managed to bring everything we needed including some meat to throw on the grill. We had a relaxing evening and I could tell that Cole really enjoyed his day with his dad.:-) The two of them read books that night while I cleaned the bathrooms, which last chore on my list. Yeah!
