Well, one of his front teeth finally cut through. Can't see it yet, but I can feel it. He seems to not be in as much pain anymore, so this is a relief.
He pretty much stopped sleeping at daycare last week. At most he would take an hour nap in the morning, but most of the time it was more like a half hour. Not sure how he survived the day, but apparently he was never fussy. And, I can say that at least when I would pick him up he would be all smiles and as happy as could be. Of course, once I got him home it was meltdown city. I would feed him as quickly as possible, then he would crash for a good hour or two nap. One night he slept right through. He went down at 5--I woke him at 8 to feed him and then he went right back down and slept through the night. Crazy! We've realize for a while that Cole is a real social baby, but I didn't realize that the excitement of being around his friends would be enough to keep him up all day! On Wednesday, I took him to a doctor's appointment after school--I was really worried about a meltdown in the office. But, no, this kid entertained the doctor and nurses with his smiles, even though he had only had a half hour nap since 6:30Am!!! His daycare only takes new babies on the first of the month. So last Monday he had two new kids in his class--we think that that is what has caused some of the changes in Cole's sleeping pattern. (thank goodness they only take babies at the beginning of the month!) This week seems to be getting a little better so that would support that theory. Oh well, can't complain if my child is happy, right?
Nick made quite a bit of progress on the barn last weekend thanks to the help of his dad and Bruce. He has the trusses built and part of the barn doors. Next weekend he has a group of friends coming over to help him get the walls and roof on...it's a barn raising party! Cole and I will probably head up to W. Lafayette on Saturday and visit with some friends, after I take my car to get the hail damage appraised! Yep, we got hit really hard by hail and my car took a hit. All three of our cars were parked outside, because the garage is full of barn stuff. Interestingly enough, I don't see any damage on the Pontiac..., and well, who can tell on the Bronco..but the Volvo definitely has some dings...hmm it's a mystery. The rest of our house fared well. Just some minor roof repair and it looks like we'll replace a few pieces of siding. There was a lot of damage around here, so we are thankful for the minor items.
