Mommy, don't feed me cinnamon!

Well, we've learned this the hard way. A few weeks ago, I made some more baby food, since he was so close to the 8th month mark, I went ahead and added some spice. I added vanilla to the pears and cinnamon to the nectarines. All my recipes called for cooking the spices with the food, but because of how I cooked the nectarines (whole, boiled in water), it made no sense to add the cinnamon while cooking. So I sprinkled a very small amount over the whole batch right before pureeing. Well he ate the nectarines Sunday night and yesterday he had some at daycare. Sunday night in the middle of the night I heard him throw up in his crib. I went to check on him and he was covered in it. Needless to say, I changed his sheets, his clothes, tried to wipe it out of his hear...poor guy. Well, he threw up at least one more time that night and he was up crying about every hour or so. Monday morning he wakes up as happy as can be and has a great day at daycare. Tuesday early afternoon daycare calls me to come pick him up because he is throwing up everywhere. Poor guy was having a very rough time. I'm driving him home while he is throwing up in his bib in his car seat, he threw up on the way to the crib and on and on...He wasn't crying, he was just staring off into space, he would smile at me, but that was it. I put him in his crib to sleep but I couldn't tell if he was tired or not, because he just laid there staring at me--so sad! Anyway, he eventually took an hour nap and after that was 100% better and back to his old self again--what a transformation!
Well, it wasn't until this morning that I finally put the pieces of the puzzle together and suspected an issue with his food and narrowed it down to the nectarines w/cinnamon.
